A selection of photos of kawaii J-pop idol Rio Hiiragi during her energetic fun live performance at the three-day Japanese pop culture festival, Hyper Japan 2015 held at London’s O2 10th – 13th July. Other guests included Eir Aoi, Hibiki Ichikawa & Akari Mochizuki, Die Milch, TOKYO GIRLS’ STYLE, Dempagumi.Inc, May J, and Yoshiki & Toshi from supergroup X JAPAN. The event coincided with the two-night show JAPAN NIGHT featuring J-rock bands [Alexandros], OKAMOTO’s, Ling tosite sigure, and VAMPS .
About Rio Hiiragi:
Rio has been active as an idol for 4 years now, and has released several singles both as a solo artist, and as a member of idol groups Heart&Cupid and ALLOVER. The song “Drawing” from her second CD single was used as the theme song for the web drama “Akiba Tekini”, and the single “sekai de ichiban natsu ga suki” which she released as a member of ALLOVER achieved 8th place in the Oricon daily rankings. What’s more, Rio’s solo cover was the most popular version, with over 3,000 copies sold!
Rio is also active on television and in pageants such as the Moe Queen Contest, and in 2013 she made her overseas debut in Taiwan and France. With over 1.25 million views on her YouTube videos, and with further concerts scheduled for Macau, Shanghai and France, Rio Hiiragi is definitely a rising star of the J-pop world!
